At Family Promise, we spend every day talking with families who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness. We believe that sharing their stories is essential to spreading awareness about family homelessness in the United States. Want to learn more? Check out our recent media coverage below.

How long do families stay in the Interim House?Ideally our families stay for 1-3 months while they get back on their feet. However, with rental prices soaring in the area, sometimes the stay extends beyond 3 months. All families' stays are determined on a case-by-case basis.

Are you building a new facility with more housing units?Yes! Our new Resource Center on Newhall Ave will also have 4 additional 2 bed/1 bath interim house units on site, so we will be able to house even more families! Construction has started, and we hope it will be completed by the end of 2024.

What families do you serve?We serve families at-risk of or currently experiencing homelessness in the Santa Clarita Valley. Each family must have at least one child under the age of 18 living with them and meet income limits.

How can I or my family/teen volunteer?Preparing and delivering a meal, providing supplemental groceries, organizing a donation drive for in-kind items are all ways you can volunteer. Please reach out to contact@familypromisescv.org for more information.
