Homeless children and their families need your help now.

Why Monetary Donations Are Crucial

At Family Promise of Santa Clarita Valley, every dollar donated helps us provide critical support to families experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless. While in-kind donations are incredibly valuable, monetary contributions allow us to meet urgent needs, sustain essential programs, and respond quickly to unexpected challenges.

Here’s how your monetary donations make an impact:

  • Flexibility in Meeting Immediate Needs: Monetary donations enable us to address urgent expenses like rent assistance, emergency motel stays, and transportation for families.

  • Sustaining Programs and Services: They fund essential services such as case management, resource coordination, and family connections events.

  • Filling Gaps in Supplies: With your donations, we can purchase specific items not covered by in-kind contributions, ensuring every family has what they need to succeed.

  • Ensuring Long-Term Stability: Monetary gifts allow us to invest in programs that provide lasting solutions, such as interim housing and educational workshops.

Your generosity fuels the life-changing work we do. By contributing financially, you’re not just helping families survive—you’re helping them thrive and achieve independence.

Thank you for believing in our mission and making a tangible difference in the lives of so many.

Family

No child should be homeless.

Why In-Kind Donations Are Crucial

In-kind donations play a vital role in supporting the families we serve at Family Promise of Santa Clarita Valley. These contributions go beyond meeting immediate needs—they help families save money, reduce stress, and work toward long-term stability.

By donating items or purchasing much-needed supplies, you become an essential part of our mission to transform lives.

Here’s why your in-kind donations matter so much:

  • Directly Supporting Families: Essentials like toiletries, cleaning supplies, and household goods alleviate the financial burden on families, allowing them to focus on paying rent, reducing debt, or saving for their future.

  •  Providing Comfort and Dignity: Items such as clothing, diapers, and personal care products bring comfort and restore a sense of dignity during challenging times.

  •  Enabling Our Programs to Thrive: Donated meals, groceries, and supplies ensure our interim housing units and family programs run smoothly, creating a welcoming and supportive environment.

  • Reducing Costs for Essential Services: Every in-kind donation we receive offsets operational expenses, allowing us to allocate more resources to critical services like case management and housing assistance.

Why Gift Card Donations Are Important

Gift cards may seem small, but their impact on the families we serve at Family Promise of Santa Clarita Valley is profound. They provide flexibility, dignity, and the ability to meet critical needs in ways that directly empower families.

Here’s why gift card donations are so crucial:

  • Filling Gaps in Assistance: Not every need can be anticipated. Gift cards bridge the gap, helping families with unique or unexpected expenses, such as school supplies, medications, or specific household items.

  • Versatile Support: Gas cards make it possible for families to attend job interviews, drive to school or work, and access appointments, while grocery cards ensure no one goes hungry.

  • Stocking Essential Supplies: Gift cards help us restock items for our interim house and resource center, ensuring we’re always prepared to meet the needs of new families.

Gift cards for stores like Target, Walmart, Amazon, grocery stores, and gas stations are especially helpful. If you’d like to make a gift card donation or host a gift card drive, please contact Courtney at Courtney@familypromisescv.org.

Your gift card donation provides families with more than just essentials—it provides hope, dignity, and the chance to rebuild. Thank you for your support!

Your gift changes a child's future.

Your donation is more than a gift—

it’s hope for a brighter future.

  • How long do families stay in the Interim House?
Ideally our families stay for 1-3 months while they get back on their feet. However, with rental prices soaring in the area, sometimes the stay extends beyond 3 months. All families' stays are determined on a case-by-case basis.
  • Are you building a new facility with more housing units?
Yes! Our new Resource Center on Newhall Ave will also have 4 additional 2 bed/1 bath interim house units on site, so we will be able to house even more families! Construction has started, and we hope it will be completed by the end of 2024.
  • What families do you serve?
We serve families at-risk of or currently experiencing homelessness in the Santa Clarita Valley. Each family must have at least one child under the age of 18 living with them and meet income limits.
  • How can I or my family/teen volunteer?
Preparing and delivering a meal, providing supplemental groceries, organizing a donation drive for in-kind items are all ways you can volunteer. Please reach out to contact@familypromisescv.org for more information.
